SubsidySLIM & WBSO, the stackable pot
On top of your own budget: SLIM, the Dutch SME training subsidy, covers up to 60% of training costs (max. €25,000), and WBSO, the Dutch R&D tax credit, gives a 36% tax benefit on AI development. We handle the application and stack the pots so you get more AI for less money.

Yes. Personal development budget and training budget exist precisely for education and sustainable employability. AI skills fall squarely within that. We provide an invoice and, where needed, a learning and development plan so it demonstrably meets the conditions.
At most organisations, the budget year runs through 31 December, after which unspent innovation and technology budget lapses. Personal development budget can sometimes carry over to the next year, but far from always. In the budget scan we work out the exact deadline for each pot.
Yes, and that's exactly the idea. SLIM covers up to 60% of training costs (max. €25,000 per application) and WBSO gives a 36% tax benefit on the first €391,020 of R&D costs for AI development. We stack the subsidy on top of your own budget and handle the application.
The STAP scheme (€1,000 per person) ended on 1 January 2024. For employers, the SLIM scheme has taken its place, alongside the training budget in the collective labour agreement (cao). Your own pots therefore remain the fastest route to funded AI training.
